Banan Al-Nasery, B.A.N (born 1994 / American)

Banan Al-Nasery is an American multidisciplinary artist of Iraqi heritage. Her practice - spanning textile art, tapestry, painting, installations, and film photography - explores notions of home, migration, and consciousness through handcraft, material sensitivity, and personal narrative. Rooted in a metaphysical inquiry into the nature of self, her work seeks to deconstruct what we appear to be in order to touch the edges of what we are not.

Her work has been exhibited internationally in Venice, Seoul, Orange County, Cyprus, Amsterdam, Switzerland.
